Hi Mrs Hunt... a fantastic web site! I loved your rendition of the Christmas Barn Dance. We were in fits of laughter. I especially liked the dog dancing.
Also, I can't believe the children have never heard of Mr Squiggle. I'll have to get my children to watch a few episodes... I loved it as a child... "Miss Jane, Miss Jane" still rings in my head. Have a wonderful Christmas and a safe and stress free New Year. Love Norma, Stephen, Molly, Aimee and Jack Bertram xx

TERM 4:WEEK 4

We are absolutely amazed! Yet another DEI student has entered the CRAZY PUZZLE HALL OF FAME! Jack from DEI solved the Crazy Pig Game...

Emily from DEI has managed to complete the Crazy Snake Puzzle!

------------------------

DEH and DEI have been enjoying swimming week. Water safety signs we saw at the pool were:

------------------------

Some grade 1 boys worked on a fabulous design with the Lego - creating a very fancy swimming pool playground. They worked on a caption to go with the photo...

"People are jumping in a swimming pool. People are climbing up to the top."

------------------------

Miss Yates & Mrs Hunt claim that they don't generally celebrate Halloween, but why miss an excuse to dress up and get away with it? We had fun! Our teachers turned into Witch Yates & Devil Hunt. (Some say that they didn't change; they just wore it on the outside this time!)

Here are the students looking disgustingly horrible...

And here they are looking much better...

Darrien and Ella tried taking some photos of Witch Yates & Devil Hunt...

Kids: "Do one where it looks like you're fighting!"
[It's not that easy to hold a straight face for long...]

Mrs Hunt: "Don't take so long to take the photo! Witch Yates keeps making me laugh!"

Much better!...

It's much easier when we don't have to look at each other!...

We played HAUNTED ALPHABET on the interactive whiteboard...

TERM 4:WEEK 3

We've been trying out Mrs Hunt's CRAZY PUZZLES! They are very tricky... Mrs Hunt has never been able to do one. Tynefrom DEI had some amazing news on Thursday - she solved The Crazy Unicorn Game! We're going to start a "Crazy Puzzle Hall of Fame". Tyne will be the first one on it.
Here's her finished puzzle:

TERM 4:WEEK 1

HUNTEDWEB NEWS:
GROVERCISE should now be working (under "Other websites").
SuperTux has been added to "Free programs". It is not exactly educational, but a lot of fun.

We're into Term 4 already! We can't believe how the year has flown!

Here in DEH and DEI, we're already enjoying sinking our teeth into "Our Bodies"! We're learning about the names of body parts...

------------------------

We were looking at the letter 'h' this week. Hmm... Do you know how to pronounce the letter? Many people say "h-ay-ch", but it really is simple "ay-ch".

Grade 1 students were looking at the interesting ways that the letter "h" pairs up with other letters to make digraphs (two letters making one sound). We even found some words with trigraphs. Can you find 4 words with the trigraph "tch"?

------------------------

We enjoy our fine motor groups for three mornings each week. When it's a group's turn for the play corner, there's always a little cheer!
